Billboards At the Pond [April Daily Poem – Day 8]

Prompt: Rupestral

The billboard is not a human invention

Though animal ones don’t grab our attention

In fact, frogs have mastered the art

of creating signs with plenty of heart

If you go to the pond and stand near the bank

You’ll hear a soft and sonorous clank

Look down, and you’ll see a tiny frog

Surrounded by a cloud of dust and fog

Watch as it chips away at a tiny block

Drawing an image in the rock

After an hour, the art will be done

And you can see a slogan for everyone

“Flies are a yummy meal.

Two for one, what a steal!”
