Falling Down A Hill [April Daily Poem – Day 9]

Prompt: Marsk

Tumble tumble tumble tumble

How I really regret my fumble

We had spent five hours hiking a hill

The whole event was quite a thrill

But when we reached the tallest peak

I stumbled and let out a massive shriek

Tumble tumble tumble tumble

Now I feel so utterly humble

Suddenly I was rolling down the slope

Looking like a massive dope

Crashing through the grass and flowers

Through puddles left by April showers

Tumble tumble tumble tumble

All I could do was helplessly grumble

Then I rolled into the field

And I knew my fate was sealed

I heard the cows suppress a laugh

The sheep cringing on my behalf

Tumble tumble tumble tumble

I felt my pride utterly crumble

I rolled and rolled for half a day

Knocking over critters who were in the way

Until I ended up back at the start

Pain radiating from every part

Tumble tumble tumble tumble

Never again will I bumble
