Prompt: Soft

You said you wanted something soft and warm
Something that totally envelops your form
Something that would hug you tight
But you didn’t want something trite

I know this as I’ve read your journal
Every page, internal and external
It said that you wanted to date a villain
and I’m more than happy to fill-in

I could be the aloof lord with an axe to grind
Or a shadowy beast with a twisted mind
But I can’t be the first as I’m not refined
And with the dark, I’m not aligned

But I got you a gift that’s really cool
A load of quicksand dumped in your pool
You don’t need to thank me for this deed
Your happy waving hand is all I need
