Home [30 Days Of Poetry-Day 1]

[During April I’m taking part in Storytelling Collectives #AprilDailyPoem event!

For the next 30 days, I’ll be trying to write one poem every day!]

I’ve become a fairy for tax reasons
At least for a few seasons
You can’t care about rent swelling
When you live in a tiny mushroom dwelling
So I’ll quietly sit and drink the dew
And maybe next year I’ll be able to live in a shoe.

I’ll make my clothes out of string and petals
Forge art from tiny chunks of precious metals
I’ll turn a raindrop into a creek
All in a place where eyes can’t peek.
